About the project
'Donations Welcome' is an independent comedy feature in which the volunteers who sort donations at a church thrift store find a painting that might be worth a fortune. The person who donated it comes back to ask for it.
Roles
- Marisol — Lead · Female · 38-52 · $145/day
Marisol is our store manager. What's tricky: staying fresh across 25 days. Runs the store like a small army and follows every rule, until now.
- Dylan — Lead · Male · 20-27 · $145/day
Dylan, the youngest volunteer. Only there for school service hours. The first to look up what the painting is worth. Can you be funny without winking at the audience?
- Earl — Supporting · Male · 60-75 · $100/day
Earl, the retired art teacher. For Earl, that's eleven days out of 25 days. Sure the painting is fake and much too sure about it.
- Customers at a Thrift Store Sorting Room (Background) — Background · All genders · 24-31 · $80/day
Everyday customers in a thrift store sorting room through most of the days; quiet, natural behavior is the whole job.
